Full marks for creativity for this design from Philippe Malouin but I’m not totally sold on the idea of a kitchen unit that includes a bath.
I would prefer to stick to the shower rather than see my roommate performing his ablutions as I make breakfast.

Look at ways of enclosing the space where your utility meters are located. In a ground floor apartment I stacked round concrete blocks angled with a layer of concrete between the blocks to create a wine storage space. You can use the remaining wall space under the meters to place hooks for hanging your bottle openers, corkscrews, and other tools.
These are great ideas specially all the storage options! Great way to hide clutter!

Stair storage is a good idea. Kitchen and bath combined is very creative design.

All of these turned out great. I’m personally a big fan of the extender rod in the closet. This can double your hanging space and potentially eliminate or downsize your dresser. I also love under shelf baskets. They are a genius way of adding shelf space. And one of the best things you can utilize is hooks, Hooks, HOOKS! Seriously, for your scarves, your coffee mugs, your jewelry, your utensils. Makes such a huge difference!
It is clear that with newer buildings that they keep getting smaller and smaller. People will be left with no alternative but to seek out this type of creative furniture to maximize their space. Our company sells space saving furniture at affordable prices that will not break the bank.
Several of these examples involve stairs. The very idea that you would have stairs going up to a second floor level IN your apartment is ridiculous for Most New Yorkers. Virtually no one has a place that big, maybe the multi-millionaires. The size of the apartment with the bed-under-the-floor idea is massive by New York City standards. So this is all nice, but most of it wouldn’t even make sense for me.

NYC is not the only place on earth… i know a guy living in South End of Boston – he has a 4 storey apartment. Each floor is tiny, but together its a pretty big place.
I also have a client on the ROxbury neighborhood of Boston wit similar setup – 3 floors, each with 2 small rooms and a bathroom.
