Four different ways to keep your shower mirror fog free
No matter what you want to do during your shower. Whether your “mission” is shave, have a facial treatment enjoying the steam, floss or pluck your eyebrows… You won’t be able to do any of these things because your shower mirror is always inevitably foggy.
But, what if we told you that it was possible to keep this mirror fog free while showering? There are four different options to achieve this apparently impossible goal and you can even combine some of them. At least, the people that tried these options say they work!
1. Heating cable
Install a heating cable behind the mirror, so it will heat the mirror and prevent water from condensing. There even some special kits created by heating cable manufacturers to do this (here is one).
2. Temporary solutions
If you don’t want to spend money, try the quick fixes like the anti-fogging solutions that dentists use or even an auto product. Some people claim that this product really works.
3. Soapy water or dish detergent
The true quick hack: clean the mirror with soapy water: the layer of soap will help to reduce the fog. Super easy (and cheap)! Some other people say dish detergent is the better option to create a fog free mirror.
4. Ventilation system
If you’re willing to make some changes in your bathroom, a good ventilation fan is the first step to create a fog free environment.
